MAISON
NUNCHI
Born from the connection between soul, art, culture, and humanity
Creating to connect. Connecting to elevate.
Maison Nunchi™ — born from the connection between soul, art, culture and humanity.
Maison Nunchi is an artistic, cultural and solidarity association, a living space where every creation becomes an encounter, where every gesture becomes a message, and where intention takes shape in matter.
Rooted in Korean wisdom, the Association is inspired by universal values:
- Han 한 — the depth that transforms pain into light;
- Jeong 정 — the warmth of sincere connection;
- Nunchi 눈치 — subtle listening and attentive presence;
- Inyeon, the invisible threads that connect beings;
- Hongik Ingan 홍익인간 — the drive to act for the common good.
These values cannot be translated: they are lived, they are felt, and have always inhabited the founder, like an ancient memory connecting her to the world.
These values guide every project, every collaboration, every creation. They shape a more humane vision of the world, where excellence of gesture meets awareness of meaning.
It is from this foundation that Maison Nunchi today embodies a dual humanistic mission: that of an artistic, cultural and solidarity association, and that of a mission-driven company (to be launched at the end of 2026).
One works to bring cultures, art and souls into dialogue through social, artistic and educational projects; the other will bring exceptional works of art and craftsmanship to life.
Creating to connect, connecting to elevate: this motto now links the two sides of the same house.
- art, soul, and hand,
- gesture and meaning,
- culture and creation,
- memory and the present.
Each work is born from a partnership between soul artisans and committed creators, revealing the human, artistic, cultural and spiritual dimensions of craftsmanship and way of being.
Each piece is conceived as a work imbued with history and intention,
created in partnership with exceptional artisans and artists — united by the same requirement: to give matter a soul.
A House of Connection and Accountability
True to its vocation, the Mission-Driven Company will ultimately devote a portion of its revenues as well as donations collected by the Maison Nunchi Association to social, cultural, educational and solidarity projects. In this way, creation remains an act of connection, hope and transmission.
It means making art a universal language between people and humanism.
- foster dialogue between cultures,
- support meaningful artistic projects,
- create spaces for encounter and transmission,
- use art as a universal language,
- support people who are vulnerable due to life circumstances.
Our founding creations
Suhoja is born from the union of two ancestral arts that watch over the essence of the world:
- Mokjogakjang, the Korean art of wood carving classified as intangible heritage, where matter comes back to life under the master’s breath,
- and mechanical art watchmaking, where metal comes to life and keeps time through gravity.
Two gestures, two breaths, two guardians of the living: one sculpts memory, the other measures eternity.
Together, they embody the meeting of earth and time, between the tree that breathes and the metal that watches over.
This founding creation remains at the service of the Association’s artistic, cultural and social mission. In time, it may inspire other forms of transmission and dissemination, always respecting the original meaning and ethics of the project.
Our social and cultural projects
Beyond creation, the Association develops concrete projects:
Beyond creation, Maison Nunchi develops artistic, cultural and solidarity-based initiatives aimed at fostering connection, supporting transmission and accompanying individuals and communities through art.
These projects are presented within the Circle of Alliances, a space dedicated to dialogue, partnerships and the actions carried by the Association.
An association rooted in South Korea, open to the world
Maison Nunchi is deeply connected to Seoul. It is from South Korea that the Association intends, in time, to create, engage indialogue and radiate.
This choice is neither strategic nor opportunistic: it is cultural, symbolic and deeply aligned with the Association’s vocation.
From South Korea, Maison Nunchi builds bridges to other territories, in a spirit of respect, reciprocity and connection.
Thus, the Maison Nunchi Association unfolds as a living bridge between people and cultures — a place of soul where art once again becomes a space of connection, where culture rediscovers its human responsibility, and where every gesture contributes to something greater than itself.
